East Essex Pumping Stations

Pumping Stations for a Developer

We we’re contacted by a developer who is based in Essex about supplying foul water pumping stations for 6 individual plots on a development is East Essex. The developer wanted us to spec, supply and commission the units in alignment with building regulations.
From the outset, the customer knew that having individual systems for each house would be more expensive than a communally used system, however, they were also aware of the implications of not having a system for each dwelling.

Following and initial phone consultation, the developer provided us with the plans for the site. We were able to spec 6 pumps to the exact requirements for the customer, as well as provide them with the technical specifications and installation instructions for their groundworkers to pre-prepare the site ready for delivery.

Working in consultation with the groundworkers, we were able to ensure that the pipework was laid ready for the installation of the units, meaning the developer had minimal waiting time for the units to be installed.

Following the installation, one of our engineers then commissioned the systems to ensure that the pumps were wired and set up correctly. The engineer also installed high level alarms on each of the units to ensure that in the event of a breakdown, the homeowners would be alerted to the fact their system needs attention. We ensure that every commissioning job that we undertake is signed off with a certificate of completion to give our customers complete peace of mind.

Having the foresight as a developer to see that individual systems and small touches like high level alarms really add value to properties sets you apart from the crowd. We enjoy working with forward thinking individuals who know how to really develop properties.
